"Directly after completing my civil engineering degree from the University of Technology Brno in Technology of Building Materials, I started my career with Saint-Gobain ADFORS in the Czech Republic as a process engineer.

After 2 years, the opportunity for a R&D position in the US focused on testing & modelling of products for civil engineering applications (PaveLife) became available in Saint-Gobain Research North America. I applied for this position and was relocated to the US. I am grateful for this opportunity to expand my capabilities and open up a new direction for my career that is more in line with my training. I have been working on the PaveLife project for 8 months now. It has been an exciting experience and I am developing my technical skills, and market & application understanding.

The ADFORS R&D team is a multicultural team that is inclusive of all and is challenging me to expand my capabilities. I am really happy to work in such environment. These newly developed skills will allow me to return to the Czech Republic in a few years to take on an expanded role in the global Geotextile team."
